Biography

I am an Enterprise Fellow in Pharmacy, working in UniSA Clinical and Health Sciences and the Quality Use of Medicines and Pharmacy Research Centre.  My research focusses on identifying and resolving quality use of medicines issues in older people. From 2016-2021 I held an NHMRC-ARC Dementia Research Development fellowship, which investigated the role of medicines in causing or worsening cognitive impairment. From 2004-2021, I worked on the Veterans’ MATES program which aims to improve the quality use of medicines and health outcomes for Australian veterans.  I currently teach in the UniSA Pharmacy undergraduate degree, coordinating the third year Bachelor of Pharmacy course ‘Quality Use of Medicines'. My research interests include quality use of medicines, medication safety, dementia and pharmacoepidemiology. I am also interested in studying how pharmacists can improve the quality use of medicines and reduce medication related harm for patients.
