Biography

Ellie completed her Bachelor of Psychology (First Class Hons) at The University of Tasmania in 2017, majoring in Psychology and Behavioural Neuroscience. She is now undertaking a PhD with the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre. 

Her research focuses on interneurons and perineuronal nets and the role they may play in cognition and in cognitive decline. She is passionate about dementia research and can talk endlessly about science. As the daughter of two teachers, she also enjoys teaching others about the brain and other areas of science, and communicating science to the wider public.
