PyConline AU call for proposals open

The organisers of PyCon AU are looking for talks on everything Python, open source, and tech-related for their upcoming conference to be held online from 10 - 12 September, 2021. The call for proposals is open until 10 June and you can submit to the main conference and specialist tracks through the same process. They are also interested in ideas for social events!

Australian Women in Security Network
The Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN) is an open network of people aiming to grow the number of women in the security community.
We support, inspire, and act as role models. We connect women in the industry and those looking to enter the field with the tools, knowledge, network and platforms needed to build confidence and interest. We know the diversity of online threats require diversity of thought on how to address them, and this is where our network thrives.
We provide networking opportunities, training and a mentor program.

UNESCO report on gender equality
UNESCO has published a global study on gender equality in scientific research: To be smart, the digital revolution will need to be inclusive. The report reinforces the challenges faced by women in STEM-related fields, highlights a forecast shortage in skills for Industry 4.0 and calls for more comprehensive data on gender trends.
