Biography
Victoria is a PhD student and casual academic in Criminology at the University of Newcastle. Her project is looking into geographic profiling methods and geophysical techniques to locate those who are missing and buried. Ms. Berezowski is a forensic anthropologist by training with a keen interest in 3-dimensional techniques for anthropological analysis methods. More recently, she has become interested in combining forensic science techniques with criminological and victimological analyses to better understand Australia’s criminal justice system. This passion has been crucial in her work at the Bridge of Hope Innocence Initiative Newcastle, through The Centre for Law and Social Justice at the University of Newcastle’s Legal Centre. This initiative works mainly on public interest cases (miscarriages of justice), as well as cold cases, and missing persons cases.
