Biography

Toni Cannard is an experimental scientist in CSIRO. Toni is a coastal ecologist with experience across a range of coastal research projects including evaluating management strategies, water quality, ecological restoration, offsets, coastal economics, and near real‐time information systems. This work, plus her contributions to various Fisheries Research and Development Corporation fisheries projects including the Social Objectives and triple bottom line Harvest Strategies project, uses interdisciplinary approaches which allow integration between the ecological and environmental with the economic and social dimensions relevant to coastal ecosystems. Apart from the fisheries research, Toni has been involved in the coastal blue carbon research conducted by CSIRO over the past six years.
