Biography

Sonya is an experienced management and technology consultant, with 30 years’ experience in IT, encompassing corporate governance, strategic planning, enterprise architecture and requirements analysis.  This experience spans a diverse range of industries and organisations, including agriculture, retailing, banking, property development, insurance, education, and a number of government and not-for-profit organisations.

After a twenty year career as a technology specialist and leader in the information technology industry, Sonya graduated with a Master of Business Administration from The University of Adelaide in 2009 and from the Australian Institute of Company Directors full Company Directors course in April 2013.

In addition to her experience as an independent consultant, Sonya has been on a number of boards of directors, including the board of the North Eastern Community Hospital, Women in Innovation and the Ministerial Advisory Group on Volunteering.  This experience provides Sonya with the ability to present advice and recommendations to executive managers and directors.

Sonya’s extensive experience has enabled her to develop and demonstrate exceptional skills in communication, stakeholder liaison and negotiation.  Her repeat business with South Australian State government agencies demonstrates her outstanding interpersonal skills, which she has used to successfully manage projects requiring initiative and high-level strategic and innovative thinking skills.
