Dr Sarah Probert BEng. Phd. CEng(UK) CPEng NER

Director, Principal Engineer, Gen2NEM PTY LTD

Dr Sarah Probert is a chartered engineer with over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Following completion of graduate/research programs at Alstom and NGC (UK), Sarah entered the consulting sector, working on international projects, assessing network performance using PSS/E, DIgSILENT Powerfactory, and PSCAD.

Since 2006 Sarah has worked in the area of transmission system planning and operations, initially working for Transpower (NZ) and moving to AEMO (AUS) in 2010. Within System Operations Sarah investigated generator performance and network security and reliability, specialising in the assessment of system stability and deriving interconnector transfer limits.

In 2020 Sarah founded the consultancy company Gen2NEM to provide independent advice regarding the National Electricity Market (NEM) to investors, generators and network owners/operators.
