Biography
Dr Sarah Holdsworth-Carson is a University of Melbourne Research Fellow in the Gynaecology Research Centre at the Royal Women’s Hospital. Awarded her PhD in 2011 from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Melbourne, Dr Holdsworth-Carson’s research activities focus primarily on endometriosis; a common gynaecological disorder that affects as many as one in 10 reproductive-aged women.
Dr Holdsworth-Carson undertakes various research investigations in the field of endometriosis, including studies that identify risk factors of disease, the genetic influences that increase a woman’s risk in developing endometriosis and studies examining potential biomarkers for endometriosis.
