Biography

Sandra Gardam brings vast expertise in Women in STEM and consultation to her senior executive roles. She led the team which developed Australia’s Women in STEM Decadal Plan - the preeminent sources of information about the issues facing women in STEM and solutions to address them. This document has informed government policy and was the result of an extensive and sector wide consultation, which Sandra designed and led. She possesses extensive knowledge and networks across the STEM sector relating to women and diversity and inclusion. Currently she is bringing innovation to the acclaimed Superstars of STEM program at Science & Technology Australia. The program aims to shift stereotypes about what a scientist looks like and bring the voices of more women into the media.
