Biography
I am an Environmental Geochemist with over 20 years work experience. During the last 14 years at Rio Tinto I have been instrumental in the pro-active identification of geochemical risk and subsequent management strategies, being formerly recognised in 2018 by an international (INAP) best practise award. My strengths include the ability to identify risks, develop scopes of work, prioritise and lead multiple technical projects. I currently manage a team of 4 professionals, multiple consultants and academic institutions. Prior to Rio Tinto, I completed a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering that involved building several passive and active treatment systems to treat acid sulfate soil drainage. I have also worked for Government, Local Government and Consultancies.
