Biography
I completed my PhD in 2010 at University of Torino, Italy. In the same year, I joined Curtin University for a post-doctoral appointment and in 2013 I was awarded an Early Career Curtin Research Fellowship. I 2018 have been the recipient of an ARC Future Fellowship and I am now a Senior Research Fellow at Curtin University (The Institute for Geoscience Research (TIGeR), Curtin Institute for Computation, and School of Molecular and Life Sciences).
My research is focused on:
• Nucleation, crystal growth and polymorphism
• Processes and reactivity at mineral-fluid interfaces
• Vibrational spectroscopy
• Crystal structure determination
• Development of ab initio software
• Biomineralisation
• Force field development
• Geomimetic chemistry
