Biography
Nicola Rivers is a reproductive biologist and assistant lecturer based at Monash University. With a background in biomedical science and reproductive biology, Nicola’s main interest lies in the application of assisted reproductive techniques in conservation and species management. Specifically, Nicola’s PhD research focused on the development of reproductive technologies for the preservation of endangered fish species in Australia.
In addition to her research and teaching roles, Nicola is part of the management team for the Australian Frozen Zoo, a biobanking initiative responsible for collecting and storing cells from some of Australia’s most unique wildlife.
