Biography

Niamh is a medical researcher with a passion for using technology to improve healthcare delivery. Niamh's research is focused improving health services to better meet the needs of patients and providers to prevent cardiovascular disease including heart attack and stroke. 

Niamh currently chairs the Australian Cardiovascular Alliance Emerging Leaders Committee and the International Society of Hypertension Women in Hypertension Research Committee. 

Niamh is a passionate science communicator and Founding Director of national award-winning radio show and podcast That's What I Call Science (https://thatsscience.org/) and recipient of the 2021 STEM Communicator of the Year at the Tasmanian Premier's STEM Excellence Awards.


Niamh identifies as neurodiverse.
