Biography
Melissa Fanshawe is a mathematics lecturer in the School of Education at University of Southern Queensland. She has twenty years’ experience within Queensland schools as a teacher, advisory teacher, Deputy and Principal. Melissa has won a number of teaching awards including an ASCILITE innovation award for “Fostering a positive maths mindset for learning through technology-based sense of presence", as well as Education Queensland Showcase awards and a Commonwealth Bank Teaching Award. Melissa presents for Queensland Association for State School Principal's across Queensland on growth mindset in mathematics and was keynote speaker at this year's Queensland Association of Maths Teachers Middle Years Conference.
