Biography

I use curiosity, creativity, and collaboration to power innovation and change.

I strive to be an inclusive leader, who is continually learning from others, drawing upon my science background to bring an evidence-based approach to a wide range of projects.

I am frustrated by the limited progression towards gender equality but am inspired by the explosion of disruptive approaches that are shifting culture. I am privileged to have played a role in this disruption in the STEM and healthcare sectors and aspire to a career whereby my previous experience is valued and expanded with knowledge and experiences of others.

Previous experience includes:
✔️ Managing a national research project to support the career development of women in healthcare, Advancing Women in Healthcare Leadership
✔️ Facilitating the collaboration between 60+ scientists and artists to create science shirts about Australian research by creating Shirty Science
✔️ Supporting the development of a national framework to achieve gender equity in STEM, Women in STEM Decadal Plan
✔️ Creating an online database of 2000+ women in STEM (this here database)
✔️ Delivering science shows across regional Australia with the Questacon Science Circus
✔️ Mentoring young girls to create their own STEM business ideas through STEM Sells
