Biography
After graduating from my Bsc. Physics engineering, I conducted a Biomedical Engineering masters by research in KU Leuven (Belgium) focused on biomaterials and biochemical cues for bone tissue differentiation. In 2016 I started my PhD in Biomedical engineering with a SUPRA scholarship and, after 3 years I submitted my thesis titled ‘Advanced structures for growth factor delivery’. In 2018 I was awarded a Research Endowment Fund grant to conduct research on microfluidic structures for encapsulation of growth factors. I am currently working as post-doctoral research in the field of drug delivery for cancer research and cartilage regeneration at St. Vincent’s hospital in collaboration with Swinburne University. I am interested in promoting women in STEM areas to increase gender equity.
