Biography
Dr Lianmei Jiang is currently a research fellow at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Nanoscale BioPhotonics (CNBP) under the supervision of Professor Nicki Packer and Professor Jim Piper at Macquarie University. She received her Ph.D. degree from École Normale Supérieure de Paris (ENS-Paris) in 2013, where she worked on the development of microfluidic biosensors for cell behavior study. Prior to moving to Sydney in 2015, Dr. Jiang was a joint industrial-academic researcher at ESPCI ParisTech and Biomérieux in France. Her research focused on the droplet-based microfluidic system for both fundamental and applied research in microbial diagnostics.
Her skill-set includes the design, fabrication, integration, and implementation of microfluidic devices for cell culture, manipulation and analysis at the single-cell level. Her current research interests involve single-cell droplet microfluidics for high-throughput screening, droplet microfluidics for producing functional microparticles, and miniaturized sensing devices for biomarker detection.
Lianmei identifies as culturally and linguistically diverse.
