Biography
I graduated with a Bachelor of Animal Science and Management (honours) and a PhD from The University of Melbourne. I am now a senior lecturer in production animal nutrition and physiology at The University of Melbourne and a Veski sustainable agriculture fellow. As a passionate animal scientist, my research focuses on improving animal production in a sustainable manner. With research spanning the bioconversion of waste food into animal feed via insects; to understanding the mechanisms driving responses to nutritional supplements in production animals; I am versed in a broad range of areas. I believe that collaboration is key to meaningful research outcomes and endeavour to network in all elements of my work. I am an enthusiastic teacher who encourages the next generation to pursue knowledge. At home, I love to entertain, especially if it involves food; and enjoy spending time reading in the sun with my dog.
