Biography
Kirsty's research interests are interdisciplinary in nature, sitting at the interface between ecosystem function and human well-being. She has a PhD from the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies at James Cook University. Since 2016, she has been working at the Centre for Marine Socioecology, based at the University of Tasmania.
In addition, to her research, Kirsty is passionate about supporting parents and carers working in STEM. In 2019 she launched www.aKIDemicLife.com, a free online resource hub providing information and tools to help academics balance work and caring responsibilities.
