Biography

I have 20 years experience working in the Australian public service as a researcher and project officer. During this time I have worked on major policy proposals for Geoscience Australia and the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science. My particular expertise is the dissemination and analysis of complex data sets. In regards to communication I have excellent client interaction skills and well developed relationships within Government Departments and industry. I have represented my organisation at 10 international and national conferences and presented at four of them. I have held workshops within my organisation, within industry and internationally. My written communication skills are highly developed and my publications list includes scientific articles in internationally recognised journals, organisational and internal reports, promotional articles for the general public, and graphic presentations to promote my organisation's activities. To date I have published 58 peer reviewed papers. During my tenure in a business intelligence unit I have also been responsible for preparing formal briefs for SES staff attending internationally significant meetings.
