Biography

A PhD scientist with a diverse background of working in observational physical and chemical oceanography, remote sensing, upper atmosphere physics, atmospheric chemistry, oceanographic project management, scientific programming and systems analysis. Significant experience managing projects covering the whole life cycle of operational ocean observing systems, from gathering user requirements, through acquiring funding, recruitment, overseeing system development, documentation, transition to operations, product delivery, user education and finally using the data for research and services.  

I am particularly passionate about improving the quality of sea surface temperature products used in Australia, and educating users around their appropriate applications.
