Biography
I am the resident molecular geneticist at the Australian National Wildlife Collection at CSIRO. My work aims to provide new methods of extracting historical genetic information from highly degraded museum specimens. The data locked in historical specimens can provide key insight into how species have coped with environmental change. By looking back in time, we can develop plans for how to protect and rebuild biodiversity in the future. I am a fierce advocate for STEM education and supporting female-identifying youth to pursue careers in STEM. I was recently selected as one of STA's Superstars of STEM.
