Biography
Hi I'm Daisy Shu! I just submitted my PhD at the University of Sydney, Australia at the Lens Research Lab headed by Prof. Frank Lovicu. My thesis explored how growth factors play a role in the formation of cataract, the leading cause of blindness worldwide. I just moved to Boston to start my postdoc in the Saint-Geniez Lab at Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical School where I explore the role of mitochondria and metabolism in retinal eye disease. I absolutely love sharing my passion for science over social media and inspiring more people to love science as much as I do!
Daisy identifies as culturally and linguistically diverse.
